Digital photography at dawn in various northern and Arctic locations. Presented in pine framed light boxes. 

 

Beginning in Iceland and continuing in Greenland and Svalbard, this project captures the special light of the extended sunrise at extreme northerly latitudes. The pastel gradient of the sky and unreal whiteness of the snow contrast with the human palette of buildings, signage, and industrial objects.
